Review by hotel critic
If you're pondering a family getaway that balances comfort and value, the Pines could be a solid choice. Nestled in a quiet area, the spacious rooms come equipped with comfortable beds and essential amenities such as air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. While the doors require a gentle push to fully close-an oddity with a nifty internal latch that I hadn't encountered before-this small quirk didn't detract from our overall experience. The seasonal outdoor pool is nice for a dip, though not heated; it was just what my boys needed after a hot day. The hotel prides itself on cleanliness, both inside and the meticulously maintained outdoor areas, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. What truly stood out was the attentive customer service. The staff were friendly and readily offered assistance when I was overburdened with my bags-an appreciated gesture considering my recent recovery from a brain injury. While the Pines doesn't have all the high-end frills, it offers a sensible option for families looking to enjoy a comfortable stay without breaking the bank.
